Left fielder Nick Evans cracked a homer and had 4 RBI as the Chicago Colts
defeated the Chainsaw Proctologists in 10 innings by a score of 10 to 9 at
the ballpark.
 
Both teams were tied at 9 runs apiece after nine innings. Chicago came out on
top in the 10th inning.  Gary Matthews Jr drew a walk.  Brian McCann stepped
up to the plate and he grounded into a double play.  Edgar Renteria then drew
a walk.  Ronnie Belliard came up and he drew a walk.  Dan Uggla stepped into
the box and stroked a single to load the bases.  Chris Coste kept the rally
going and slapped a base-hit making Chicago the winners and sending the
25,817 fans home happy.  Chicago banged out 16 hits on the afternoon.
 
Carlos Marmol(2-0) allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Dallas Braden(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.
